About him
 
Binod grew up in Kalimpong - A beautiful hill-town in West Bengal. His father, who ran a photo studio, got him his first box camera. From thereon, Binod and his camera were inseparable. He studied the three year course on cinematography at the FTII in Pune. His first break in the movie industry came when director, Prem Sagar came to the FTII to judge the student's work. Prem Sagar immediately recognised Binod's talent and offered him an assistant's job at Sagar Arts. From there on Binod grew from strength to strength and has worked on everything from major Bollywood movies to ad films.
