Nikhil Advani started his career as an Assistant Director. He was the assistant director for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, both of which were super hits.
He directed his first movie - Kal Ho Na Ho under the Dharma Productions banner. As with all Dharma movies, it had a huge star cast and a larger than life setting. It won several awards and was one of the top movies in the year 2003. The movie also got him nominated for Best Director at the Filmfare Awards.
He has also written and directed Salaam-e-Ishq. His latest movie, Chandani Chowk to China, was the first Warner Bros. Hindi language film. |
